Before Qualifying Examination:
- 18 AUs (6 courses: 3 core courses and 3 elective courses ) with CGPA 3.50
3 core courses from School 3 elective courses (preferably at least 2 from School)
- Graduate English (HWG703)* & University Teaching for Teaching Assistants (HWG702)
Before Graduation:
- 3 AUs Communication courses (compulsory for student admitted from AY2019 onwards)
- 3-minute thesis (3MT)
* For full time PhD students only

- 9 AUs (3 courses: 1 core course and 2 elective courses ) with CGPA 3.00
1 core course from School 2 elective courses (preferably at least 1 from School)
